Leak test

The automation level of the leak testers from Lippok & Wolf ranges from manual test benches to fully automatic testers. This important group of Liwo products are completely in-house designed and manufactured. With over 30 years of experience in sealing- and adaption tools as well as its modern, windows-based software Liwo is well consolidated in this market. Optionally, software modules for ODC and SPC are available.  

A test system for each assembly line



With up to 500 test pieces per minute, QuickCell guarantees a complete and self-sufficient test system to the industrial user, which can be integrated easily into any assembly line - and all this for a reasonable price. Furthermore, LIWO, together with its cooperation partner OKU (automatic machines), offers its customers specific chambers, sealing and adaption tools for any application, as well as a number of options in the area of metrology software.

The new leak test system consists of a multi-channel installation. It is able to perform and evaluate in a continuous mode leak tests via Δ p measurements in a pre-evacuated secondary volume and to transmit the test result (leakage value) to an external visualization station. The measurement procedure is determined by the respective station setup.

The "delta p" measurement procedure

The usually leak-proof and self-contained test piece/product is impinged with a preset vacuum in one of the 36 tightly sealed chambers (=secondary volume). The pressure increase in the secondary volume (due to leakages from inside the test piece) is registered and evaluated via a pressure sensor. The leakage is calculated from:

The UNIDIM-Compact offers lower system and maintenance costs, while maintaining all positive technological features of He-mass spectronometry.

Quality and performance with a minumum of space

The use of proven components in pump technology, mass spectronometry and valve technology guarantees years of dependable operation. A robust mass spectrometer allows usable leakage areas of 10-2 to 10-8 mbar * l / sec. The internal auto-calibration with traceable leak normal ensure process capability and transparency of the results. Included is an internal technique for trace gas supply with electronic pressure regulator and complete valve technology as well as the internal trace gas disposal with evacuation pump and complete valve technology to blow the trace gas and flood the part with fresh air. The universal valve block allows a scalable number of test chambers that are easily adapted to the exact needs of the customer.  

The comfortable, Windows-based user interface makes internal processes transparent, documentable and for servicing easy to analyze. User-defined rights control different user levels. An PLC module enables the long-term statistical analysis of measured values.
